Entertainment Robots
An entertainment robot is built to be seen. The feature is the articulated body: shoulders, elbows, and hands that hold a pose under stage light. The job is timing and presence, on a mark, for a cue.
Build the cue list
Each pose is a point in a show, the way a weld point is a point in a cell. The arm rises on one cue and returns on the next. Paths stay inside the stage so a mic stand and a person can share the floor.
Light and reset
Color and a dark backdrop make the motion readable. Between shows the crew homes the robot, checks the joints, and runs the cue list once with the room empty. The photo is that empty stage, which is where the path gets proven.
